Road to SEMA Influencer Introduction: F7LTHY

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Founded by Dr. J.J. Dubec, F7LTHY has quickly made a name for itself in the creative automotive modding scene. F7LTHY got its start in a Vancouver R35 GTR community, the enthusiasts concentrating on full bolt-on mods and Flex-Fuel ethanol conversions. During one of their road trips, a passerby noticed their exotic cars and shouted, "Man, your cars are filthy!" and Dubec snagged the comment.

F7LTHY

Dr. Dubec comes from a medical background, which, by necessity, is sterile and constrained. In the world of mods, they take the pristine car off the production line and make it "filthy", personalizing and customizing it.

CTEK Co-pilot F7LTHY

As the word spreads around the world about F7LTHY, their team grows. With regular cruises in the Vancouver and Seattle region, Team F7LTHY has sent F7LTHY banners and decals to locations all over the world like Australia, Europe, South Africa, and the Caribbean. Additionally, F7LTHY has a hand in build projects such as a 2017 NSX and an RWB 993 Porsche.

The team at F7LTHY embrace the dichotomy that is all around us. Things need to be clean and perfect, but there is also room for creativity and ingenuity. F7LTHY wants to share their passion for "speed, beauty, and artistic expression". They put their heart and love into everything they do.

Road to SEMA Gets to Know F7LTHY

As a copilot on the Road to SEMA, we wanted to get to know F7LTHY a little better, so we asked the team some questions to find out what a road trip would be like with this eclectic group of enthusiasts.

What was your favorite road trip and why?

F7LTHY Seattle roadtrip was the best because the whole crew was there celebrating the Seattle RWB No.5 build, we had the great news about one of our team winning Car Audio Installer Of The Year for World and we got to see Nakai from RWB Japan eat Red Lobster in a booth and we played Uno till early in the AM and ate really crappy food and things started flying into bushes. It was awesome!!

What are your top 3 songs you must have on your road trip playlist?

Master of Puppets - Metallica

Funky Shit - The Prodigy

Bangarang  - Skrillex

Who would you choose as your road trip co-pilot, alive or dead, to join you on the ultimate road trip and why?

Jesse James - Because of the passion he puts into everything he does. His work ethic and his pursuit of knowledge and expertise. Even though he has found financial success, he still strives to be better.

What is your favorite vehicle/bike you have owned or built?

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited SEMA build.

What is the one vehicle/bike you wish you owned? Or what was one you owned and foolishly sold it?

My Porsche Cayman. I luckily still own every vehicle I have ever owned, aside from my Cayman and that's the one that got away!

What fueled your passion and got you into this industry?

The togetherness one experiences during a build is in itself addicting. Having different team members of all walks and talents all come together, each often with different roles, to produce a collaborative work of art. It's an evolution. First, it's the appreciation for the form which sparks the curiosity on who designed them. Which led to the "why". Why do they look the way they do? Followed by the "what". What makes them what they are?

Do you have anything coming up between now & SEMA that you would like us to feature?

We have a Twin Turbo LS Powered 1993 Mercedes 190EVO that we will debut at SEMA with Toyo Tires. A 1951 Mercury Lead Sled owned by world-famous airbrush artist Mike Lavallee that will debut in the Kicker Audio Booth and a brand new Acura NSX Widebody for Libertywalk in Japan.

Tell us about your experience with CTEK product(s).

The CTEK products are great because we can move them from vehicle to vehicle around the shop and we can install them a number of different ways. We put one on any long-term project so that the battery is always charged for testing or simply shuffling the cars around the shop. Every car we build has one built-in so when our clients store their cars they simply have to plug in an extension cord and their battery is always charged up for those sunny days when they have to take their cars for a cruise!!

Thank you to the F7LTHY team. Remember to submit your vehicle to be a winner in the Road to SEMA Sweepstakes.

“Having owned several of another ‘popular’ brand of charger, the CTEK is far and above superior in every possible category. WELL worth the miniscule additional cost. ”
