CTEK CS FREE gets the thumbs up in PTEN review
CTEK’s CS FREE has been given the thumbs up following a thorough review and workout for leading automotive aftermarket magazine Professional Tool & Equipment News (PTEN).
PTEN asked Brian Culotta, shop foreman and master technician at Dave’s Auto Care in Willoughby, Ohio, to give his views on how CS FREE performed, from powering up for the first time to using it every day.
“The CS FREE was fantastic for being able to charge a battery remotely,” Brian told them in the review, adding: “It was ready to go…very easy to use.”
Brian also liked the way you can use CS FREE in the workshop without being near a power outlet, saying: “Having the ability to use this tool without needing an extension cord was very convenient. Who wants to find where the other technician put the extension cord?
“Once you finally find it, where is the nearest receptacle? Who likes tripping on extension cords anyway? This product can offer a solution to all those scenarios.”
PTEN magazine is the first port of call for automotive repair shop owners and technicians looking to find out about the latest tools and equipment in the automotive aftermarket. The magazine is part of the VehicleServicePros.com group, which gives over 600,000 automotive professionals exclusive content in the service repair, collision repair and aftermarket distribution sectors.
Named 2021 Product of the Year by Auto Express, the CTEK CS FREE is the world’s first portable battery charger and maintainer with adaptive boost technology. This technology analyzes a battery to give it the correct power it needs to safely and quickly charge a battery while protecting sensitive vehicle settings. The multi-functional CS FREE is four products in one portable unit: adaptive boost safe start, that can start a dead battery in just 15 minutes, battery charger, smart maintainer, and hi-tech power bank.
